Civil Rights Museum
The Civil Rights Museum is located in Memphis, Tennessee and it is an excellent
museum. It gives a detailed history of the civil rights and a view of the hotel where Dr.
Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated. Walking into the museum as a younger child and having a love for history the way I do made me feel wonderful on the inside. Although I did not know as much as I do now, it still amazed me. It was a wonderful experience to walk pass an area in the museum where a bed was not made up and clothes where on the floor because that was where Martin Luther King Jr. was staying at the time. It was also a bit scary. Being there for a while made it a little tiresome but the information made me want to learn more and more. By me being so young I can not really remember everything but I do remember being amazed by things I thought were fiction. It felt so real and it felt like certain parts of the tour I could feel a strong spirit from somewhere. Now that I know a lot more about civil rights and how things took place in that time, if I was to go back I know I would enjoy myself even more.
